My new 5T takes its maiden drive!

Wooooo, no doubt most peeps have seen my thread on how I've been wanting to do this for three years and now at last, I'm finally a true Baja owner and driver as of today! Whata freaking rush! I had a huge smile on my face the entire time and I was the envy of all the little kids around me and even the passing by adults were impressed!

It truly is amazing to see this large of a vehicle go flying across the grass. It was actually scary at times to see it drive up to me as I really got a sense I could seriously injure myself or someone with this thing if I'm not careful, and a kill switch could seriously come in handy!

But enough chat, on with the pics and video!

Good stuff mate, just finished converting my 5B to a 5T (New wheels/tyres, turfed the tired 23cc and put in a brand new CY26cc, all the HPI Plastic bits but went with a "fake" lid as it was half the price. Runs well with my DX3S

The lil one loves it (until I fire it up...):D

Traded the Savage Flux for another 5B for the wife to use so we can bash at the same too have had no probs with it runnin her Spekky DX3E but needs a new carby I think (air leak, stalls on brakes). Thankfully my car has a pretty big "trunk" so swallows the pair with no problems (as well as jnr's stroller)

Sounds like you were at 1/4 throttle most of the time...

I was breaking in the engine, so I needed to be gentle. Plus, driving and filming isn't exactly easy either...

You ain't lying there! I tried that once, and it was a funny vid, I do not think i got any of the car action, mostly the sky. The little futaba radios are small enough that I can steer with my right thumb and throttle with my right index finger. Can't do that with the m11!

Looks like you had alot of fun, good stuff.

Looks like lots of fun though. That's one truck I've never gotten to drive.
