New Baja 5T takes on the Bash Pit! *w/pics/vid*

Allright, at long last I was ready to go and conquer our local bash pit with my very own Baja after 3 years of first seeing the local gys with theirs. I got everything on the Baja outerwears protected so I knew it was time to see what she could do after the break in tank. And yes, I was filming AND driving at the same time, so cut me some slack for the camera movement.

Nice stills !
And even sweet bash spot, Envious !

Sweet stuff there! Sure looks like a bunch of fun!

I did notice a couple times where having 2WD only was not a benefit. If HPI had a 4wd 5B, I might consider one...

All in all, looks to be a blast tho.

Nice juggle. The stills came out good.

Looks look fun. From the sound of it and the running your doing at least at that spot your not really getting it opened up all the way, maybe try some lower gearing if you can. How did you brake it? I didn't see anything in the video that would have broken anything.

A jump that went wrong which wasn't filmed. I'm still learning how to tune the engine but keep in mind, these arn't nitro's, there not gonna get up and go like them, their 28 pounds of 3 foot long RC.

I know they are screaming nitros and that they're heavy but when you did actually rive out further and got it opened up for a bit coming back the RPMs where getting up there like they should but most of your driving seamed like it was much slower and you could have taken advantage of a little more low end grunt.

*shrug* I've never driven a vehicle this big, it reacts much differently then my Revo or Flux, so i'm taking it easy. A tuned pipe will make a big difference i've heard, but i'm not to that point yet and i'm still tuning the engine.

looks great. Awesome spot to run one of those too. I dont have any area big enough to run one of those so I will stick with 10th scale stuff for now. Heck I even worry what damage I might cause to something or someone if I run my hyper 9e anywhere but the track.

Fun

Looks like fun FB. I to hope to gain access to one of those some day, but just cannot justify the funds at this point. I just purchased a full VBS setup, and I am building a Super PC so the Baja will just have to wait. I to am waiting for them to come out with a true 4X4 setup out of the box. Then I may be ready to take the plunge. Until then I will just have to enjoy your threads about it. Plus I prefer the really tricked out aluminum hopup versions so it will cost me alot more over all. The still pics are awesome. Very nice photography.

Nice Freeze....great still pics as well....especially the first one with the mountains in the background. If I had a bash spot like that near me, I would never be home!
