Bk 13L toooooo hot???
 

Hallo boys today I have tried mine buggy with 13L warrior 9920 and 6S lipo, respect a 1940/8 is tooooooo hot,I do not succeed to understand why, inasmuch as the 13L it has less also kvolt, respect at 1940/8, also the 9920 were hot,also turning to accelerating half,after little all it became very hot!!!

If esc and motor is getting hot. It sounds like you have overgeared it some. Try dropping down a couple teeth on pinion.

Ok cool i try to get down some teeth, the strange is that also slowly going without to accelerate they become very hot...

The segmented magnets of the better LMT motors, (1930/40/50, 2230/40/50) are better for partial load. the simple non-segmented magnets on the feigao's get hot on partial load.

Serum what is the max acceptable temp for controller and motor?
And what is the correct rpm for the motor?
30000?
35000?

Generally, it is best to keep the motor under 160 degrees Farenheit (~70 degrees C), but you don't want it to get hotter than 180 degrees F (82 degrees C). The controller should be kept at about the same maximum temperature as the motor.
30,000-35,000 RPM maximum is a nice spot for 1/8 buggies, since that is about the maximum RPM of a nitro engine.

Thanks metalman, my temp is around of 75-76c°, I did not believe that a 13L it was to hot motor...
my rpm is 1700kv X 22 volts=37400

Are these temps for real? I run a fan on my ESC and heatsinks on my motors and I rarely hit 130 degrees during bashing or topspeed runs.Are my temperatures out of norm?

you don't want to see temps like that. The cooler the better. I have seen a motor at 212. It was like hot. sizzling even. It ran after wards to.

I ran a 14L in a gmaxx viruss. It was decent power but good run time. It did not like the over gearing aspect. It made my esc run very cool though. Just to let you know. It was ran on 18cells as well.

Like coolhand said, the cooler the better. When our brushless controllers are cooler, their resistance goes down, which means that they are more efficient. The difference in efficiency between a 90 deg. F controller and a 180 deg. F one won't be noticeable, but it is there.
