Kyosho 777 SP2-E

Hey all,

Finally had time to fully finish my E-buggy conversion.

How it stands right now, weighing at 7.8 pounds with everything but body. I think it will be even lighter with offroad tires, the slicks that are on it now seem to weigh a ton compared to regular bowties, crimes ect....

Specs: NEU 1512 2.5D 2050KV geared at 13, but will go up to a 14-15 soon, its under-geared
Controlled by MMM running on 5S 5000mah
Custom Battery tray made by me, custom radio box also modified by me.
Weight Distribution is 3.7xxlbs front and 4.0xx rear
And of-course last but not least Mike's Kyosho mount

Nice buggy, strange really how few BL kyoshos are out there... Is it your first BL 1/8? I love my caster ex-1 pro, so much that I am building an 8ight now as well.

It is my first BL toy. I've been running nitro for a couple years now, and I'm almost fully switched to brushless.

It really handles well, I was keeping up with a mbx-6 with 2650 MMM on 4s.

I'm switching to 4s for the sake of the motor and to keep the speed down for track use.

i have the same car it was my first conversion, i bought it off e-bay cheap not knowing anything about 1/8 buggys, bought some parts missing or bent ( cvds)
its no wonder kyosho dominated the 1/8 seen for so long the buggy is nice the parts are heavy duty the tolerance on the parts is amazing no slop but still free to move a great buggy

I agree, the SP2 is bulletproof compared to the weak but faster MP9. Most MP9's don't finish their race if they crash a little too hard.

They are still more competitive than the Losi 1.0's, era of buggies.

what kind of tires are those i need some good tires i have the proline roadrage but they suck

MikeW 05.04.2010 09:55 AM

Those slicks are garbage.... all I could do with those is drift.

If you wan serious onroad performance use the losi grp tires

Far right in the pic
