HV vs 9920?? Talk me out of the hv maxx
The hv maxx is simple plug and play. Tell me what a need to get a better brushless set up for about the same price?? 9920 and 8l or 9l ?? What else would I need to get my emaxx up and running? it is already all set up with cvd's clutch ect....... I have 8 six cell GP packs for now...... I dont need speeds above 40mph ect..... is this set up compareable to the hv maxx or alot faster if I want to upgrade batterys ect?? I just bash in the back yard and want some more power and speed.... The one reason I dont like the hv maxx is cell limit..

The 9L would be a better choice than the 8L. Since the HV-Maxx is the only sensored brushless system (currently) usable for the E-Maxx, there are no upgrading possiblities. In other words, you couldn't upgrade the motor later to a more powerful one like you can with the sensorless setups that are sold here. For example, if you get a 9L now and run 12 cells, later you could get a 10XL and run 20 cells.

Thanks for the help.. So the 9920 and the 9L will work together just fine with 12 cells....... Its basically the same price as the hv but alot more capable... Will this be a good basher?? Will the stock gearing work? |
I have heard great things on the 10L as well. They will have more power than the hv as well. The hv is rated at 375 watts. The L cans are rated I think at 1200 watts. The 10L will get you a little longer run time as well and has higher cell count later if you choose. Pc nutz runs these and talks highly of them over the 9l.

im a fan of the xl's myself. i think a 7xl will do you real good. you can go up to 18 cells with the same setup and it will haul ass and give great torque.

what else do I need for the hook up? Plugs solder?? I will use power pole connectors....... Thanks

HVmaxx on 4S lipo would do nice too..
But, i prefer a 9920/wanderer, it's relatively more 'setup' for the money than the hvmaxx |
