Help with wiring; final step! UGH!

I am just about complete with my HB Lightning 2 buggy conversion. I wanted to do all the wiring tonight and FINALLY see it run. My ESC (BK120) has two wires for each motor phase (total of six wires). I was going to use the High Amp. Gold plug 5.5 mm (that I got here on the site) to connect the six ESC wires to the three on the motor. If I tin two of the ESC wires, NO WAY will they fit into the plug. :035: I tried a host of different ideas but none of them work. Is there a "secret" that I don't know about or should I be using a different connector?
Thanks for all the help.
Matt

I too have that ESC and those plugs and also saw that tinning the wires beforehand wouldn't work. So, I twisted each pair together and worked at getting the untinned wire solidly in the plug. The plugs I got have a hole on each side. I just stuck my soldering iron tip into the hole, then heated the plug and wire until I was able to "feed" the solder in. It took a while but it worked.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the info. Any other ideas out there?
Thanks.
