Help should I convert or stay nitro need awnsers?

Just picked up a X2 crt rolle sold my crt.5 and im facing a dilema Electric or Nitro The intial cost will be very close for both nitro and electric. I had electric before ( hobbywing but it was very very slow and idk I hated it didnt even go good in my sc-10) I heard batteries only last 12-20 mins and that my main problem. I can't see spending that much and only lasting that long While I could go nitro and just keep refueling. I had nitro before and it was moslty a pain. Idk what to do Im looking for real awnsers not "Electric sucks/Nitro Sucks/My electric is faster" I want to know the pros and cons of each. What would you do? What if you had to do it all over agian...Thanks Guys!!

Seeing as you posted the question on the foremost wheeled nitro-electric conversion website on the planet, I doubt that I am going to surprise you with my answer that you should convert it to electric.

Obviously I don't know what went wrong with your previous electric or when it was but these days with an appropriate brushless motor, ESC and LiPo there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't be as fast or fast as it would be nitro. I dont know where you are or how much nitro fuel is there but over here in England a second battery pack costs less than 2 gallons of fuel does so you can buy a spare pack or 2 and swap them over and keep running like refueling a nitro, its more expensive up front but it isn't that long before it breaks even and the more you run the cheaper it is in comparison. which just leaves the mess of nitro that nobody likes, the hassle of tuning that many don't like, although I will admit some like, and the noise and smell which is like marmite some users like it some users hate it, all of the general public hate it, personally I'm with the public single cylinder 2 strokes sound annoying and the smell of nitro fuel makes my eyes water. due to the lower public annoyance of electric hopefully as IC phases out we will get some of the old tracks lakes and flying fields back that were lost to public complaints back in the day.

And for the record nitro does suck (air and fuel) and my electric IS faster (if I choose to gear it to be).

Yes, most people here are partial to electric, but I think with good reason. The price of motors, controllers, and lipos is coming down in leaps and bounds, and the performance and reliability is going up as well. Some people might try electric and get a bad taste because they buy the wrong gear or don't set up the vehicle right. Use the information available here to build a solid brushless vehicle and you won't be disappointed.
