BL buggy in action

Hi,

Finally managed to capture my BL buggy in action just now. The 'track' you see is the local bash spot that some of the guys gather every Sunday afternoon for a little bit of bashing + fun. My jumps were much higher than the ones in the video last week. That was what inspired me to drag out the video & ask my friend who is kind enough to shoot me in action. Please excuse the driving though.

Regards,
Joe Ling

I never get sick of crazy insane acceleration, I only hope my buggy is half that nice. Too bad I can't afford lipos on my limited hobby budget. Otherwise Mine would be a terrific clean setup, currently its a mess.

Hi,

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I am only using a feigao 10L with 5S lipo & a BK 9920. As mentioned, the jumps last week were much more impressive, the buggy was literally floating in the air & I was able to make adjustments to it in mid air quite a bit to ensure it landed right side up.

Unfortunately, I managed to strip a few teeth off my plastic spur the previous week & had to use the metal spur for the run shown in the video. A a result, my pinion was eaten alive. I tried to contact Mike through email inquiring about hardened pinion but my mail got bounced. How do I contact him ?

Regards,
Joe Ling

PS : I had a 7XL in place of the 10L earlier but faced overheating problems of the esc. Obviously, 9920 cannot handle 90+ A under hot & humid conditions even with the help of a small fan.

Sorry double post

BTW, the buggy is one durable machine. Mine was still in perfect running condition after quite of few of those tumbles & cartwheels etc. Only the body is in pretty bad shape.

Just a thought: The input shaft of an EMaxx has a 13t hardened pinion. It's the 1st gear, the one that most folks here cut off anyway. Should be easy to get one, but drilling and threading a hole in it might be another story.

Nice buggy, Joeling.

That is some crazy air Joe. You should keep the trigger pulled when going off the jump and see how many back flips it will do! Keep the videos coming!

On my buggy hardened pinions don't work, they strip just like any other pinion?
