Which set up for my MRX-3 conversion...opinions welcome

I just purchased a MRX-3 and wanted a sensored set up in it.. Four of my buddies have these in nitro form so I plan to show up one day w/my set up and, well...have some fun. Seeing as the car only weighs 3-4 lbs. now and expected run weight of 5-6 lbs., I was thinking of the following set ups.

1. RX8 w/Tekin 2200kv buggy motor on 4s
2. MMP w/same motor and on 4s

I should not need more than 4s in that light of a car. I was also worried about spikes and excess wear on the esc due the fact that a lot of braking will occur. So I am leaning toward the RX8 esc...thoughts

By the looks of your sig it looks like you like castle, so I would tend to stick with them. Since the truck is pretty lite the MMP should do fine. But if you want to try a Tekin, nothing holding you back.

I do like castle...especially their support. The mmpro w/a Tekin motor is what I am learning towards for the sensored set up.

My only concern is the amount of hard braking that is done on asphalt in relation to the longevity of the esc. I do not know if the mmpro is up to the task over a longer period of time as say a RX8/mmm would

I'd go for the RX8 - more headroom...

In talking to more and more people about this, I am going to go w/the RX8 esc and a 2200kv buggy motor on 4s
