Want most powerful setup for Revo

Hi, I just found my way onto the Gorillamaxx site a few days ago and I have to have one of these. I have 3 Nitro Revo listed in my profile. I don't want to play around with the E-Revo. What's going to be the most powerful setup out there. I'm looking to bash mostly but would like a speed demon too. Could you guys give me some setups to look at and research?

For the batteries I was looking at these Team Orion Platinum Pro Edition 4800 Lipos http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1p?&I=ORIC4000
If there's stronger Lipos out there let me know. I want power!!!! :004:

Trust me,you don't want the most powerful set up out there. It would destroy your truck in seconds.

The amount of power is determined by how much battery power you have,a 5s or 6s lipo setup in a G2R is alot already.

I'd run 5s lipo with a lehner 1940/8 or 7 turn,for a nice amount of power,a bk 9920 or 12020 would do nicely,or a micro series,depends on your budget though.

EDIT;i appear to have forgotten my manners:welcome to the forums!

A 2250 6t on 6s lipo would rip something out of the truck. I think The 1940 or a 1950 would be good. 6s lipo would be good as well to. 2x 3s lipo.

Great! Thanks for the suggestions. I will begin my research! Will any of those be able to outrun my Picco .28 Revo ? I'm guessing it will do around 45-47mph.

Edit: I meant to also say not really budget conscious here. I just want performance.

A 1950 on 6s lipo should be able to do 50mph. Controller wise, a warrior 9920 would be about spot on, or micro 3695/36120 would give you the option of 8s lipo (if you decide you want insane power in the future). Also, the new mgm16024 might be worth a look.

My motor has not came in yet but I am building a Jammin CRT with a lehner 2240 10 turn on 8s lipo, I think it should be able to smoke any nitro, except maybe a 1/8 onroad. I am using a MGM 16024 controler as well. I think this setup is about as powerful as you can go with some degree of durability (I hope) within the next month I will get my truck going if my setup works well I will help you copy the same thing, if you would like. One downside my motor/controler/lipo setup is about $1000, but it will be a very sweet truck at least to me.

Gustav 03.27.2006 05:52 PM

No, it will have zero degrees of durability.If/when the hybrid bulks come out it may have a prayer, although it will need a center diff conversion, coolhand has been tearing the little keyways off the strobe i believe.

Leroy was tearing the nubs off the stock maxx slipper kit. Nick is using a Jammin' truggy, which should hold up to quite a bit. The G2r doesn't have the diffs to handle the crazy power, but a 1940 with 5s or 6s should handily smoke the nitro just the same in the G2R. :)

Was it the little brass pins that key to the steel slipper plates?

For Lipos check out FMAdirect cellpro system(the 3200 20C packs),it's very userfriendly if you've not had lipos before, monitors each cell on charge and discharge, has it's own dedicated charger so it's as foolproof as possible.
I'm using flightpower/duralite evo 20c packs with a schulze 330D charger, polyquest 'twenty' seem to be the same cells.
Lots of good lipos around,go for ones with a high discharge rating and with balance taps installed.

Yeah, that is what Leroy was breaking. MGT slipper parts were the fix, though.
On a side note, I should have some apogee 3700 mah 20c Lipos soon. Along with a LVC.

Ány idea on the price of these beauties Mike?

shadowrevo 03.28.2006 05:58 PM

I was under the impression that it used Revo front and rear diffs? The link to the parts needed is broke on the GorillaMxx site.

Gustav 03.28.2006 06:31 PM

Yeah,it uses complete revo front and rear end assemblies, you can just use one of your Revos as a donor for virtually all exept the e-maxx tranny you'll need,i'd recommend g-maxx single speed, talk to Mike,he'll get all the e-maxx transmission parts you need along with the g2R kit.

Lipo prices, Rene? Yes, I have an idea. ;)
