Setup options for Jammin X1

I recently purchased a Jammin X1 buggy. Here are the two options I'm considering to run: either 4S lipo, MMM, Neu 1512/1.5Y/F (1850kv) OR 4S lipo, MMP, Tekin T8 1512-sized (1900kv or 2050kv)

Any suggestions? I know the Tekin RX8 is the best of both worlds but I want to stick with Castle. I'm sure there are plenty of others who have had to make this decision, so what did you choose and how is it working out? I've heard mixed reports of whether the sensored makes a difference.

Although I may one day try 5S, right now 4S makes the most sense for me as both my truggy, and now buggy, have dual battery trays and all my pairs of packs are 2s hardcase.

EDIT: Anyone know if the Ofna Hyper 9 17mm Big Bore shocks can fit on the Jammin X1? I noticed that with the 16mm Big Bores there isn't much clearance between the shock cap and shock towers, so the 17mm might have clearance issues but I'm not sure.

Why not MMM and the new 1512 castle/neu 1800kv?? If I was going to equip a new car that'd be high up on my list, its perfect for a controllable 4s, a fast 5s, or a mad 6s setup!

My son's X1 CR buggy is running on MMM/Castle 2200Kv motor on 5S.

The Neu I have is basically the same exact one as you listed and it would be used with a MMM if I went that route.

Yeah but the castle neu is sealed from the elements, and probably cheaper...

Aaahh, the neu you have! Then I would use that, as its a bombproof combo. kv is perfect too.

One thing I will say is that I'm not a fan of the short, stiff Neu motor leads that are actually part of the stator coils. I worry about them getting kinked or cracked. The longer silicone wire leads on the Castle motors are much more durable and convenient. Really the Tekin is the most convenient as the solder tabs allow you to use any type, size, or length of wire that is necessary.

For now I think I'll go with the MMP and 1512 since it will do the job, and I'd rather put the money towards other upgrades. Eventually I want to switch to a Tekin so I can use the sensored operation (which is really the only reason I'd be choosing the MMP over the MMM)

I went with a Tekin 1550 truggy on 5S and hopefully soon a MMP, if money is a problem ill stick with the MMM.

You could do a MMP and a tekin buggy on 4s, either the 2050 or 1850.

It would run great with the MMP sensored smart sense!

Edit:Blah, didn't read the above post.... enjoy the buggy!
