First Mainstream Brushless RTR

Looks like brushless is finally going mainstream http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...d.php?t=217104  :dft003: :027:

Cool! I was thinking of doing something with a ST, but this is already RTR. Mike should pick some of these up for the store. People will buy it and then get hooked on BL. :027:

Would be nice if they offered some different motor choices, the 10.5 turn isn't going to turn heads. Some slightly lower turn motors would be nice - thinking 8.5 and 6.5 :D

nbcaznmaster 03.28.2006 06:30 AM

can u u use a 8.5 on the 10.5 esc?

boss 302 03.28.2006 06:52 AM

yeah you can

It's about time!
The XXX-T is an incredibly popular racing truck and the SS4300 is a perfect match to an RTR vehicle.
Good truck, quick motor, fantastic reliability!
Drop a 2s lipo in it and it'll be an RTR rocket.

There are several shops that sell conversion kits and will even build an RTR brushless vehicle. However, the point of this thread was to note the first "mainstream" brushless RTR. This Losi vehicle is indeed the first vehicle that fits that description.

This is a great stride forward for the technology that we've come to love :003:

Superemaxx89 03.28.2006 05:49 PM

their prices arn't that mainstream either

Although I understand the reason of this thread I will like to state my opinion of this movement here. The use of brushless technology on cars had been keep out from the mainstream by the big companies ,protecting their brushed investments. Now that they have their own products, they go mainstream, even developed racing rules to keep the pionieers out. I think a similar fate will go for the lipo, although it will take less time.
With DSM, Brushless and Lipo technologies we are living the future now.
:037:
As stated before is just my opinion.

Mike.L 03.29.2006 06:49 PM

IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES!
lol

Sylvester 03.29.2006 07:31 PM
