Mounting an MMM on the RCM RC8 Conversion

Hi all,

I've got an Associated RC8 with the RCM Conversion kit but I'm struggling to find a suitable place to mount my ESC which is the Mamba Monster.

I originally put it on the center diff plate thing which looks as if it's designed to hold the ESC but I didn't like it being mounted there. The problem was that with the body shell on the ESC was practically touching the body, and if I landed on the roof it would have undoubtedly hurt the ESC in some way.

Is there anywhere on the chassis I can use alternatively?

Could I get a custom battery tray made to move the battery forward 10mm or so so I can fit the ESC behind the tray, perhaps modify the stock one myself?

Has anyone bent the ESC mounting portion of the center diff top plate so it's angled down to keep the ESC out of harms way?

I would appreciate pictures if anyone has any of their MMM mounted to their RCM RC8.

Thanks in advance,
Jonny

I don't think there would be enough room to mount the esc behind the battery on a buggy as there is barely room on the truggy

Sorted, just moved the battery tray forward! It's about 1mm away from the steering bellcranks and now the MMM fits on perfectly.
