How many mins race for a SCT?
I know 1/10 buggy n truck race is 5mins. Does it apply to Sct race also?
|
It depends on if it is a club-level race, pro-level race, etc....but it should be the same time as the other *similar class* races. if it's electric 1/10 short-course, the time should be identical to the 1/10 2wd and 4wd buggies and stadium trucks.
Also, races are longer than 5 minutes now-a-days, thanks to the vastly increased capacity and run-time of today's Brushless/LiPo powered vehicles...races are now generally 12-20 minutes for mains, and 8-10 minutes for heats and qualifying. |
We run 6 minute quals and 8 minute mains for CORR.

Wow! So long? Then wat kind of Mah u guys use? I m planning to race my scrt10

Don't forget that a 1/10 brushless system powered by a 5000mAh LiPo can run up to 20 minutes with no drop-off or loss in performance. Even a brushed motor & esc powered by a 5000mAh LiPo will get 12-15 minutes of runtime.

I m racing with a 5.5T mixed class with 2wd sct. I think most prob will be 5mins.

Wow, that's crazy! I thought all tracks, even pro-level tracks, ran the new times due to the new technology...5 minutes is like 1990s NiCD racing, heh! But, I guess all tracks/clubs are different, unless it is a ROAR/IFMAR sanctioned event!
