Does sound strange ???

We had a problem at the LHS I work at with them also. I placed a $500.00 order 2 weeks ago and checked on it Monday, The money was yanked out of the PP account and at the time nothing was out of stock but yet the order wasn't filled ? Some of the items were now NA due to out of stock. I had to cancel the order and reorder with what I could get ? Still no refund yet, Boss will be climbing my back if they dont send it soon !

The "bonus points" is credit.
You make an order, they get it ready, or about to process it, you cancel it, and ask for a refund, they give ya "bonus points"...

You got $222 in bonus points, I'd assume you canceled and order, that was worth $222, then the shipping made the difference between 250 and 222?

Whenever I have time, I'm going to be calling or chatting (Live Chat...) with HobbyCity, seeing if I can get my $15.71 bonus points into actual PayPal credit..

Yup, no problem.
I'm actually always on my PayPal, checking the balance, so I never miss a refund/payment I'm due for.

Let's see what HobbyCity says tomorrow (I'll be contacting them after class)

I think you'll get a big fat no from HC on that one, but let us know what they say anyway.

Argh had to work on a guys iPhone today, had no time to hit up HobbyCity today, hoping to do so tomorrow though...

Chadworkz 05.14.2010 01:29 AM

I love HobbyCity, have never had any problems with them, and will continue to buy from them!

I just used my bonus points on a whole pile of EC5 connectors. Figured it was good use of "bonus" money (and no, mine wasn't a refund!). Time to jettison the Deans.....

Took some procrastination, but just talked to HobbyCity Live Chat (From 6PM to... the wee hours of the morning), they're live.

Anyways, just said instead of the Bonus points they gave me as my refund, I wanted actual PayPal Credit, and just bent over backwards to help out the customer- All in all great customer service.

Talked to Trever (Must be out of the country), and then Ricky to verify (Seems like he's fluent in English), both were REALLY easy to talk to.

Waiting 2-3 days for the approval of refund, and will report with good news (hopefully)

HobbyCity customer-service & technical-support are awesome! The people you talk to speak perfect English, and are extremely knowledgeable about all forms of RC. I have never had a problem, but I have spoken with both for different things, and I was very impressed. I had ordered one of the red-case Zippy 4000mAh 25C hard-case LiPos, and heard some of them had some solder issues, so I spoke with HC about it and he told me that if I got it and there was any type of problem, or if it messed up while running it, they would replace it for free, ship it to me for free using the same method originally used (I always use EMS), and I didn't even have to send back the original battery.

The battery was perfect!
