Best AA Rechargeable Batteries?
 

Well, I ordered a MintyBoost PCB board (http://www.adafruit.com/index.php?ma...aed6d6de6c8580)

What it is, is basically a portable USB charger, that runs off double AA's.

I also ordered the needed components, as I really wanted this to be a DIY project for next weekend (after first set of finals)...

Anyways, instead of the standard 2 AAs it uses, I'll be tossing in 4 AAs.
But looking into rechargeables, since it'll be my charger during school.. and it'll probably be used like cake eaten by a fat kid. Anyways, I'll need some long-lasting (duration or life-time longlasting). Charge time doesn't matter, since I'll probably be pullin them out every day, tossing them into my Bantam BC6, and charging them like that... Daily routine, yipee..

Any suggestions?
I've got these random Panasonic ones, that's leaking battery acid, or did at least, but are still used, just for testing purposes..

I saw some people are loving Eneloop's, but suggest away!

BTW, trying to spend as little as possible, but if something's gonna be expensive, but damn worth it, I'd look into it...

Low static discharge cells are nice. There are a number of different brands but the Turnigy ones come to mind or Eneloop. It's nice not having to worry if they are still charged after they've been sitting around unused for awhile.

I won't really be needing LSD's, mainly because the MintyBoost will be used practically every day, or every other day... :whistle:

Been using these Sanyo AA 2700 mah for over a year in my DX3R. I like them a lot. They are a tiny bit larger then alkalines so if there's any way to make sure they fit in your device before buying.

These weird, green Panasonic ones I mentioned that I found with all sort of buildup on the outside (ended up being rust from something else it was in, cleaned it up, and charging one now).

One battery (I'm gonna cycle these NiMH's before I use em), is taking in about 2000mAh so far, at .5A... Oh boy, it's gonna be a long day.

My son has Cochlear implants & as a baby he used AAA rechargeable in the 'baby' device. The Eneloop cells were better than everything else we tried

Or instead of AA you could go from something a little bigger

The LSD Turnigy cells have been working very well for me and have higher capacity than rated provided you don't load them heavily (less than ~400mA drain). I've used them in R/C transmitters, IR remote controls, digital camera, cordless keyboard/mice, etc.

Yup, saw that deal on SlickDeals, think I'm going with a modded lipo pack..

I prefer the Orion 2700mAh NiMH AA batteries...not only are they high-capacity, they are high-discharge, and can be charged at 3C
