New Anodized RCM Muggy Mount
Just a bit of feed back on the new anodized mount I installed today - Looks like the bearing hole needs to be opened up to account for anodizing. I had to actually take it all the way down to bare metal to get it to fit (used the new slipperential). This is my second Muggy mount, the first was not anodized and fit perfectly on the slipperential. Hopefully, the slight slop it has now (after I used my dremel with a sanding drum on it) wont affect longevity.
Other than that, it looks really good! |

I thought about that AFTER I put it together. But it will all be coming apart again, so I'll take a pic then.

Interesting - this is definately NOT the case with any one I have seen. I know that the holes are pretty true, so if the bearing is even slightly out of alignment it will appear as though it doesn't fit, but every one I just test fit(after reading, I checked a handful of the remaining stock), the bearing presses in perfectly(slight drag, but no excess force required to install). I do apologize if you got a tight bearing hole, but I assure you that it is a very rare occurrence and not indicative of the anodized mount, as the Muggy mounts have been anodized for a while now. :)

That's good to hear. Just wanted to give you a heads up just in case. This one would have been a definite press fit scenario.

Nope, just a new one for me. Put my first one in the Muggy a month or so back...

Aren't they just awesome? I think they are the neatest thing. People on other forums think I'm a paid spokesperson because I always recommend them.
