Battery combo,

Hey guys,

I'm running the mmmv3 2650 combo, in a hyper 7 on 4s 5200 30c at the moment,

i just wanna know if it is ok to change to 6s 3000mah 40c batterys for speed runs, will i get enough amps? is 120 enough? will the motor get too hot?

any idea on runtime i can expect?

thanks guys!

Well the motor is only rated by castle for 4s - 6s is v close to the 60k limit.

On the batteries front - you don;t say what make they are - 120amps should be enough but it depends if that is a true 40c

I would be very concerned about the batteries unless they are top quality cells. You are going to have some high bursts and some pretty high continuous amp loads running the 2650 on 6s.

Like it was said, there are two things wrong with what you are wanting to do...

[1] The CC/Neu 2650kV motor is only rated for 4S, so 6S is not a good idea.

[2] Even though I do not suggest you run the motor on 6S, we need to know the brand of the battery to make sure it really is a 40C continuous rating or just a 40C burst rating.

I run the 2650 on 6s 4000 30c turnigy packs with no issues. Of course this is only for straight-line speed and you shouldn't do more than a few passes at a time.
