e-revo chassis

I am tryign to find an after marcket E-rvo chassis i have tryed the Kersaw chassis and all it did was bend and the stock chassis i have also heard about a G3R chassis but i can't find one any where is there any other chassis i could try?

I was also thinking about trying to run a vantage CF chassis but i wasn't sure what battery boxes would work?

The Gorillamax G4! I've been tempted to get one of these for awhile now.

Check it out.

Sadly that G4 is for a tmaxx, there is not a gorillamax chassis being made for the revo right now

I run a Nitro Revo 3.3 with Vantage Carbon-Fiber chassis converted to brushless using Mike's RCM motor-mount and the stock nitro transmission locked into 2nd gear with all of the 1st gear parts removed. I custom-built a carbon-fiber battery-tray that mounts on the right side of the truck in the exact same place that the Tekno RC battery-tray mounts when using the Tekno BL conversion. I also custom-made carbon-fiber ESC tray, Receiver tray, motor-mount brace, motor-mount support, and accessory tray (nothing mounted on it yet).

With the motor on one side and the battery on the other side, the truck is perfectly balanced, handles beautifully, and is uber-durable!

The G2R and G3R are made specifically for the Revo, they are just hard to find...and if you do find one, it is crazy-expensive!

Ooops Sorry. My bad.

Muggydude 05.17.2010 09:27 PM

yo chad, would you consider making another esc mount like the one you have there and sell them to me? It would really help me with my build. LMK

Also, what brand pinion is that?

medicineman 05.17.2010 09:48 PM

I am deployed at the moment so trying to build anything out of CF on my own is out for the next 12-14 months i was hoping that there was one i could buy. I guess i will try the push rod mod i seen on mister crash's thread and see where that gets me

I had an incident when I first built the truck where I didn't set the pinion back far enough and when the motor spooled up, there was just enough rotor-float to allow the pinion to come forward enough to get into the slipper, which torqued the motor forward and to the side, bending the RCM motor-mount (which Mike replaced for free, by the way). I now use zip-ties to hold the motor tightly against the rear cradle and brace.
