Hacker brushless
 

Hi everybody!
I had notice that almost nobody talk about the Hacker brushless, except to compare them with Feigaos. I had read good thing about their motors.
Are they still build the trucks and touring controllers? If so what are your opinions andexperiences about them?
How about their motors in our trucks?

They are generally good motors - but the cans are huge - which limits the sizes of pinions you can use - the motor can usually hinders the gearing that you can use. Other than that...not too bad i guess.. Havent heard too much about the controllers..... Hope this helps...

The car-competition controllers were some of the very best in the brushless market. Some people made a comparison between them and the 9918 and they easily gained the upper hand over the 9918 in terms of smoothness and they almost do not make the motor coggs at all. All of the Hacker Car Controllers are out of production right now. Hacker has been working on an updated version of these controller for quite a long time- making them smaller and more effecient- The sport controllers handle 16 cells and the competition controllers handle 12 cells, only and that is a minus in front of the 9918. Any way, the BKs are the way to go these days along with the highly priced Schulze e.s.cs. The Hacker motors are the ones which the designs of the feigaos and wanderers are based upon. They are pretty pricy in comparison to the Feigaos and the Wanderers. The B50s(S, L, XL) have the same diametre as the Feigaos and the Wanderers. The C50s ( B50s within a huge can with built in heat sink) are quite big- 40+mm diametre- The Hacker motors are some of the oldest motors in the markets today, but you can actually go for the Lehner 19 series motors with superior performance, but a fraction higher in price. The Lehners are built with highest level of workmanship and you really dont want to choose the Hackers over them. Right?

I have heard good and bad about them. I can't say from experence though. I leave it at that.

I think Hacker has a car controller or two out right now that both only support up to 8cells.
The reason why Hacker motors are not used much now (IMO) is because you can get Feigao motors that only sacrifice a few percent in efficiency (max), but cost half as much.

I think the Quark car controlers are made for Hacker

I actually got a hacker setup and to say the truth it rocked in my full alum maxx. Very surprised from the speed I was getting. Reliable? For me yes. Sticked a fan on the esc and geared the motor so it was warm when running in grass. No problem's.

Now there are 3 thing's that botherd me about the hacker setup. The wussy 3,2 mm motor shaft which break's if you look at it, the 12 cell limit and the short runtime. Reason for me to get a 9920, 1950 and 16 cell's.

Don't forget that hacker has released his new car esc quite some time ago. It's huge, but very smooth and can handle allot of cell's. I think it's called the OPTO or something, though I can't find any info on hacker's site.

Lets not forget that hacker does make motors that can handle high voltage applications and include 5mm pinions. Their 'emaxx' motor is not really the wise choice. You can look for a c50L can motor and they are the same design as the Feigao 540L, but significantly better. Lets not forget other companies like Aevox and Kontronik that also make quality motors inbetween the price range of the Feigao's and 1940 series.

I have a Hacker Master Comp Esc and I love it no problems I run a Feigao 9L.
Just put small fan on esc and it runs fine no thermal shut downs. Super strong brakes. I personally dislike the hacker motors. I rather get a Lehner or Feigao.

I've had a Hacker Master Car Sport OPTO (6-16 cells) for 2+yrs now and havent had any problems at all - except for broken drivetrain parts.

Just out of curiosity, Anyone know the going price for a used Hacker OPTO and C50

I got a c-50 for sale. Can include a second motor which is the special edition one, but needing a new rotor. Or you can use the special edition c-50 and keep the normal housing as spare. Look's really cool.

I'll make it a very fair price if your interested.
