Battery Tray Help

OK looking at the Battery Tray Kit on rc-monster store. I am unsure what size to get.

I will be running
Team Orion LiPo 2S 2P 5000mAh 20C Platinum TRA Plug
Measurements:
Length: 137.5mm (5.4")
Width: 47mm (1.85")
Height: 23mm (0.91")

&

7.4V 5300mAh 2S 25C LiPo, Hard Case: Traxxas

Unknown of the measurements of it

This will be going into a Mugen MBX5R

Hoping i don't have to go custom.

Wait until you have both lipos to measure, then purchase the tray that fits the larger of the two batts.

Id recommend USING the ruler or tape measure then....:sarcastic:

I never trust the dimensions posted on websites for batteries. They always seem a bit off.

Seriously, yeah, if you have the batts, and you have a ruler/tape measure, why not measure the batts to see foryourself what size they are and then buy an appropriate tray?

Im... dumbfounded really, by the lack of common sense & iniative displayed by the OP, and I rarely say such things ( on this forum anyway... ).

MEASURE IT YOURSELF!

I have two different batteries from same mfg. Both are rated same length from mfg., but only one of them would fit my old battery tray. A mm too long and it didn't fit.

InsaneRC 06.14.2010 03:30 PM

sheesh so harsh.....thought people of RCM where nice i guess wrong.....I am srry for asking a dumb ass question.......i didn't want to spend big bucks on Battery Trays FFS

I didn't know if i had to go custom or not

bdebde 06.15.2010 12:25 AM

We were trying to be nice and save you some headache... If you have the batteries already, just measure them. That would be the way to do it right and do it once. No such thing as a dumb question, just dumb answers, and the dumb answer here would be to trust the published dimensions (from Tower no less) when you already HAVE IT IN YOUR HAND!
