Losi Ten E conversion
 

Well you guys at RC Moster did it again another awsome conversion !!! Congras! :party:
The question I have is:
My local track only lets 1/10 scale have 1/10 size esc and motors...... what can I do to install the 1/10 scale Esc and Motor with you new kit?
Any input will be much apreciated! Let's hear about who has already installed the Conversion in a Losi Ten! :tongue:
The ultimate would be to run it in a 1/10 4WD class against the Durango..... but I think its way too big for the ROAR class specks!

The conversion will work fine with smaller motors. However, this vehicle is somewhat comparable to an 8th scale buggy as far as weight, size, etc is concerned, so using 10th scale components may cause overheating unless geared very very low.

Should be equivelant to what we used to run on the Revo's. Novak Systems should work OK, as may the MM.

Is the MMPro concidered a 1/10 or 1/8 esc, given that the MM is very much 1/10?

Thanks guy's because I can't run any other car but a Losi and I have it in my head to make some form of 4WD Buggy or SCT syile Truck/Buggy to run with the 4WD Slash or even Buggy with the Durango..... It's just a silly little RC dream i'm having..... Maby not ROAR legal but I bet I could do some club racing with it! Just the rule is 1/10 style and size ESC and Motor combo! I see a few for sale like $300 for a used roler, if I get a better deal i'm getting one and doing silly things with it! I'm a racer and never bash. All my cars are top of the line Losi! Best ( within reason) stuff you can get! RC Moster Kit will do it good ! But ...... what about shaft size of the smaller moter and getting it geared. We will see... I'll see how this pans out on paper first before I dip into the Endless RC Well.!!

Gearing should be easy. Mike's spur is a mod 0.8 which is almost identical to 32p. Finding a pinion should be an easy task.

Yeah, you'll need the 5mm to 1/8 reducer to run Mike's mod 0.8 pinions.

So what would be wrong with a MMP and a 1409 Neu? I think by dimensions, it's the same size as a 1/10 scale motor.

BTW unless you already have the 5mm gears, 32p 1/8 shaft size pinions are available, if that's the route you go.

I'll be useing the Rc Monster Ten conversion in my Project!
Good news.... I picked up a Brand New Roler for $200.... :yipi:
So the project is on.... Kit will be orderd soon from the Monster and then I'll have to gear the thing.... This is the plan!
To the Roler I add the RC Monster Conversion, Two cell lipo, I have a Tekin R1 with a 4.5 turn equivelent motor. I need to figure out some starter gearing for it and a Dif. oil that will make this baby handle. I'll run SCT rims on it and a Jconcepts SCT Body. I'll run it with the 4WD Slash... man they are gonna cry. :mdr: But its just the local club raceing and the only requirements are 1/10 scale Esc and Motor! Any help will be much Aptrciated....

On two's running a Tekin R1 with a 448 motor will this work? Well it has to for me to run it has to be 1/10 scale ESC and Motor... what gearing should I order with the Kit..... make me some sugestions please! I'm ready to order another kit from you! I'll have to ask if more cells can be ran ( like 3-4 cells), and do you know if the Tekin R1 will handle more cells? A little help please! The rules state no 1/8 esc or motors! :gasp:

I'm running a Novak Ballistic 4.5 with a mmp in mine on 2s, 16 tooth pinion works great. (550 size motor, 5mm shaft and considered a 1/10 motor)

Alot of the Slash 4x4 and Ofna guys are running the 550 size motors, this seems to be the trend of the future as Tekin will be releasing a SC specific 550 motor soon.

I wanted to try a Castle 2650 on 2s but the gear calculator said i would need a very large pinion just to get in the mid 30 mph range with the 52 spur. I would like to hear from anyone else who has tried this set-up.

4s on a 2200 Castle was perfect, but the club I'm running with now only wants to run 2s...grrrrrrr
