After this happened I knew it was time for one of your trays Mike.

47mmX158mm is the dimensions of the battery so I need a 47mmX160mm battery tray right? That's inside dimensions right? The tricky part is how it will be mounted. I need some tabs or a shelf or two that can be trimmed down and drilled for screw holes just like this:

Thats 3 mounting locations. Ignore that post in the rear, its not connected to the chassis just the carbon fiber sheet/tray used like this:http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/100_1893.jpg
Here is the new battery that needs the tray:

Its a Hyperion 35c 4s 6500mah.

Here is the rest of the truck

Mike can you do this for me. Do you need more measurements? Can I use a tray already in stock?

Thanks,
Zack

I have figured out what I want, and thats a Mugen T6 truggy tray without the mud guard clearance but with the longer straps. What is the spacer thingy?

Thanks,
Zack

The custom tray option is available, but I think the 48x168 tray would fit the pack you have - no problem to make it flat on the bottom rather than the stepped bottom(just leave a message asking for no mud guard clearance). :)

Thanx Mike! It will have space though to run the screws up through though right? It will have a dense screw space? Thats what I'm asking now. In other words the step bottom is filled in instead of cutting the rest of it off to make it flat? Do you think four 3mm screws will hold it in place.? I've got four perfectly spaced and countersinked 3mm holes and this titanium is hard to drill and even harder to countersink. I don't wont to make anymore.

EDIT: and the listed dimensions are for the inside right?

Thanx,
Zack

I can make the bottom as thick as needed - 4 m3 screws will hold it fine as long as they are long enough. I also have m3 brass inserts that could be added for extra security. :)

Thanx for the quick responses! Yeah the RC8 tray is the 48X168 you're talking about its the one that comes with out midguard clearence, right?

The listed dimensions are for the inside right?

Any of the normal sized trays can be made without mudguard clearance - the RC8 tray is specific to my RC8 chassis and doesn't have any to begin with(it is also pre-drilled to my chassis). The listed dimensions are indeed for the inside. :)

I've made the order for the tray. I got a Mugen 6t tray without the mud guard clearance. I am about to finish the truck.
