Castle Creations On HOW ITS MADE?!?!?
Ok so NO i have not seen a episode of how its made but wouldn't a behind the scene's video at the castle factory be awesome?? For years ive wasted my time with nitro and was never into the electric scene. To me what honestly was the biggest selling point that dragged me into the brushless scene was the release of the MMM and 15 size series CC motors at a great price. I dumped off all my nitro minus 2 cars i consider classics and everything else is set up with CC stuff. Since jumping into the BL scene ive built 4 tripple digits cars using castle creations products all the way threw, joined RCM forums which is my favorite site at the moment, AND keep up to date with all the new stuff castle is working on! Long story short i really jumped into the brushless scene hard.
Ive wondered for a while if we'd ever get to see just how these great products are made? id love to see a motor wound, a ESC built form the ground up, and just get an idea of what tools and knowledge it takes to build this stuff!!! Ive seen video's of the novarossi factory a few years ago on how nitro motors are built, cases are CNC'd, sleeves are pinched to perfection, micro size tools machining carb's ect ect....... Id LOVE to see what goes on at the castle factory! AND I KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY ONE!! So with that being sayed, any chance we'd ever get to see something like this?!?! |
That would be dope, at least to see the CC factory in the US. All the motors are outsourced to china so I doubt we'd be able to see motors being wound.

I'll talk with Pat about some type of picture tour of the processes. It will probably be a better idea to do it after we move into the new building though. It will be much cleaner looking and will be easier to follow through the step-by-step process. We are completely revamping our assembly process to make it more efficient and consistent, and it will make it much easier to follow the process.
We are moving at the end of the 2nd week in July, so once we get settled in and Pat is okay with it, I'll put something together for you guys. Thomas Porfert Castle Tech Support |

There was also so much room in those pictures. The engineers are packed in like sardines right now, and the production floor is much more cramped as well. The move just can't come soon enough!

Thomas ill be waiting, thanks man look forward to seeing everything! |
There was an episode of How It's Made that did RC planes. They showed a large ducted fan model being built with a Neu motor and I believe a CC controller. I once saw my company's products on How It's Made. It's kinda cool seeing something you designed and built on TV.

That's pretty dope, i haven't seen it but i did remember there is a episode on how lipo's are made. Watching the lady build a pack made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up......that was alot of wires...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqywKcJ0J2M |
That RC Jets How it's made featured BVM jets. They showed a Phoenix 110HV being installed in one of their ducted fan units. Still trying to find a video clip of it to pass around the office. Maybe one day we'll have our own How it's made.
