Do you guys race with drag brakes?

I have been racing for 1 year plus but just last week I tried drag brakes 10-15%.

Very good driving wo need to brake much as it brakes when I let go throttle.

It ran slightly hotter but was ok.

Do you guys race with drag brakes?

What %?

I have the drag set at 10 or 20% in my truggy for racing

me too, on my buggy n truggy. so do u still brake? does it affect jumps?

I still have to brake..A LOT!!! Track I run at has a lot of high speed parts that you have to slow down real fast after to get around a tight corner at the end of. The only reason I use the drag brake is that it seems to help with jumps, it's just enough brake to get the truck set to land perfect as long as I don't hit the jump all messed up, so I usually don't have to do to much correcting in the air

I'm not running any drag brake in my buggy, it took some time to get used to but i like it

i dont run drag brake, but i have set them up so that the wheels will not completely lock up on hard brakes. this way i can keep steering.

start at about 50%, take it out and test it, then if it locks turn it down another 5% and do it again untill you find the sweet spot. every buggy, tire and track will be diffrent.

i perfer to just learn to control my brakeing

A lot of radios have an ABS feature as well that will pulse the brake channel to avoid lockups.

I use 0 drag brake, and 40% brake strength on my RX8. Seems like the perfect set-up for the track. Buttery smooth braking, yet you can still free-wheel into the corners.

no drag on my 8th scales. now on my 2wds i run a little drag brake to make it feel a little more planted off power (like the old brushed motors)
