batt door fix?

I was at a local skate park yesterday with my ERBE and it was awesome. 15 or so feet or air! Excellent.
Anyways, my battery compartment doors kept opening and my lipos would go flying. What can I do to limit this from happening? Its pretty annoying and I dont want to damage my lipos.

Try putting new doors on?

No point. The doors aren't broken, and they latch just fine, until they smack down on the ground from a hard 15 foot fall. I know this is a fairly common problem with the heavy bashers, and I've read about a fix on the traxxas forums but I can't find it anymore.

Check post #20 and you can see what I made for a strong holding battery door gimmick

Bondo's method seems pretty good though

I actually went with the way popoxx did his in his second build shown in post #23. Simple (drill 4 3mm holes) free (had the spare parts), and effective (holds them nice and secure).
