Battery size

Hi, I am looking at getting a 5s pack to run with a Tekin 1700 Truggy motor.
I can get either a 5800mah 30c or a 5000mah 40c battery.

Not too sure on witch one to go with.
Will they both give the same run time or will you hardly even notice the difference between the two?

Any information is appreciated.
Cheers.

i would go for the 5000mah 40c pack. the 5800 pack would also be good if you are not concerned about weight.

What I am really after is one that will give me the most runtime.
I am not too sure what the 40c or 30c rating will do for me on the 1700 motor.
Cheers.

typically the mah is the run time. the 5000mah 40c puts out 200 amps the 5800 30c will put out 174. as long as 174 is enough for your esc, get the 5800 for longer run times.

I agree. And that 174amps on 5s is 3000+watts - easily enough for that tekin motor.

Thanks for the info.
I take it that the 174 amps will also be enough for the esc. ?
I plan to go with the Tekin 1700 Truggy motor/esc combo package.

Cheers.

What I mean is that the motor you have won't need 174 amps, the 3000+ watts your batteries could supply are more than your motor could handle (I'm guessing your motor has a rating of 2500 peak watts - like the neu 1515). So those 30c batteries will have plenty of power for your motor/esc setup.

Cheers.
Appreciated.
