Ok I didn't, but my Maxx did. Finaly got my LiPos today (it only took them a month to get here) It went from 14lbs. 10.7oz.:040: with 28cells to 12lbs 8.4oz. with the two 5s packs.:027:

Now I just need to get the two 7XL's and wait for the MRC 989 chargers to come out and I'll be in good shape. Hopefully I can wait that long.

why not get a triton charger?....they work with lipo also....

dude your not going to gear high enough for dual XL. best I could do on my dual 9L was 22/54 also do you think the 7xl may be too hot for your lipo, what controller amp rating do you have and what amp rating on your cells

if you get it geared right and running that would be one sick truck

The Triton can only charge up to 4s Lipo, and only up to 2.5amps max.

I have a triton at home......I can check into it for you......I didn't know this info....

The reason I am looking at the 989 chargers is because it can charge up to 8s lipo along with being able to do NiMh as well. I havn't found any other charger with these kind of specs. I plan on doing a setup for my single BL Maxx in the future that may consist of an 8s, so now I can get rid of all my current chargers and just have the two 989's that does it all.

Pcnutz: I have been running dual 9L's for some time now as well and have never had any heat issues. I am running 66/20 on the gearing.

As far as the 7XL's go, I asked alot of questions here about what motors to run with the 5s LiPos and the majority here said to get the 7XL's. But as far as the gearing? Still need some suggestions on that though, cause I have no idea.:013: I will be using my 9918 controllers as well.

no the reason why I asked for specs on your batts and esc is cause of the 7xl, not the 9l

I am going from dual 9L to 1 9xl to free up an esc

yeah your going to need the tallest gearing you can cram in on dual 7xl if your batts can take it like 30/54

Johnny what diffs you got? If they're 3.3:1 i'd try 24/51,twin 7xls are going to want some load (at least 20:51) or they'll run too hot,that's going to be wicked fast though but i guess that's what you're after(just keep away from those curbs:027: ).Mike had some 24T mod1 stock a while ago,he might still have some to make a pair of pinions.

Also ,if you speak to Mike i'd ask him about the MGT slipper parts that coolhand needed to solve the problem of the 2250 tearing off the little brass pins that key to the steel slipper plates.Your set up might do the same thing.

I would try the 20 51 gearing if you run the strobe slipper. You have to see what will work on the mount you have.

hi, I dont know much about gearing but I found some oversized 32 pitch 5mm bore pinions from Kershaw Designs the largest being 64t. They could work if you mod your mount or make one.

Oh come on guys, you are telling me that I should get rid of my stock slipper when it has served me so well over the past year?:005: No seriously though, I have always run the stock slipper and have had no issues, even with the dual power. So I would kinda like to stick with the "if it aint broke, why fix it" theory.
That being said, if I do stick with the stock 66 spur, what pinion should I run?
The link that MAXX gave above has alot of choices. Like I said, I am currently runing 20t pinion now.
