Hey fella's, finally got back into the short course game with an Hpi Blitz. setup is:

Scx2000 Esc (stock sc10)
Traxxas titan 12t 550
19/88 gearing
Stock tires treated with wd-40
30wt oil all around
#1 steering rack position, trailing arms
Silver/Green springs F/R
2s 5200mah Turnigy 30C pack
Ds1015 steering servo
4* rear toe block
Ball Bearings in steering assembly
Rpm A-arms

Love the truck so far, But is there any fix to the loosey goosey steering assembly the belcrank wobbles like a wet noodle...Tempted to make a little brace and epoxy it in.

It wouldnt be Rc-monster acceptable if it wasnt brushless!!
Installing a Tekin R1 and vxl 3500kv motor tommorow...

I sat out in the heat all day to get this truck where i wanted it!. First thing was the motor, which ended up being the last thing when I went to put the gear cover on, the motor shaft stuck out way too far... I ended up taking a front endbell off an old fried motor, drilled and countersunk 2 of the holes to make a spacer that would sit flush against the motor plate. With a bearing installed in the spacer it helps support some of the motor shaft load.

Got a used tekin R1 esc in today and found that it fit behind the battery box nicely.

I found the cause of my steering problems, the boss where the ball stud is mounted is cracked and was allowing the stud to flex under load.

I used a small peice of plain ol' aluminum sheet metal in the shape of the arm and two part plastic epoxy to bond everything into one unit. there is no more flex!

Esc tucked away

Ran the truck with 19/88 gearing and shes perfect, soo much power for the wee truck. with the 4deg toe block the thing has soo much grip on pavement.. and some how I managed to set the slipper in such a way so that it slips only when the tires are hot

Hey, I was just reading your thread on the Blitz forum the other day. I am considering a sct for winter race season and looking at the Blitz ESE. Still not sure if I want 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive (Hyper10SC) since all my other rigs are 4 wheel drive.
