165 dogbones?

hey guys...

anyone know of a dogbone thats 165mm long?

needed for a project... will it need a custom one to be made?

I looked at some truggy ones and there around 130... any wider rc's around?

also looked at the centre shaft of a savage xl... only 142mm...

any help would be appreciated :)

I needed a very long bone for a project. I ended up cutting a savage bone in half and then tig welding in an extension.

Aside from a custom jobbie, the XTM Mammoth is 182mm long that you could mod. Not sure if the other dimensions will work (like the ball, pin, etc): http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/_dogbones.html

This is the guy on ebay i got my aluminium from

he does different cut offs for different prices and sizes and thicknesess to suit what ever you need...

How about 158mm? When I get home tonight I can check some of the LST shafts.

anyone know the length of a hyper 9e centre shaft?

jahay: i think you know what i want it for josh ;)

also looking into a long chassis centre diff conversion for the mad force...

158 is quite close... could fit...

158mm is just a little too short... 162mm could work... 158mm would just allow too much movement on the shaft... Also looking at that drive shaft makes me think whether it would be able to handle the 1520 motor...
