My final Lipo choices for Flux. What say you?
Ok after spending way too much time going through Hobbking, trying to decipher all the menus and crap AND what actually was in stock, this is what I found that seemed like it work work well.
Do I go all out and get the new nanotech turnigys and go for the insane 6S power that i've never experienced before? http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=11939 Or do I play it a bit safer/cheaper and get non nanotech with just 4S which im familiar with? http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=10277 Or do I get this 6S non-nanotech Turnigy from the USA with higher C output? http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=12936 I guess im stuck ordering from across the sea as the USA warehouses have squat in stock, so i'm gonna have to pay arm and leg for shipping. How long does this EMS Express to USA shipping take anyway? Or should I just wait to get something better in like these? http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=12937 |
If you are happy with 4s I would stick with 4s. People are eating up flux trannys left and right on 6s.
You've got the right idea, any of the choices you are looking at would be adequate. |

the 30c hardcase packs you picked are only a few bucks cheaper than the 40c version. i have the 30c version and they are incredible packs, so the 40c should be even better. if i were you, i would get the nano-tech 3s packs and gear your truck 18/47. that's what i run my flux at on 6s and it is a very cool running setup that has great runtimes and better speed than stock on 4s, but at the same time, the motor runs nice and cool and the batteries are less stressed. i'm sure your flux experience will be a lot better with better batteries and duel chargers. it will take about 80 minutes to fully charge those 3s packs, but it will be well worth the wait. one more thing, about the chargers, there are much better options that will allow you to charge your batteries in 40 minutes or less and it won't cost much more. all you will have to do though is get a power supply and more capable chargers. it is not difficult at all and you will thank me once you get it set up. also, you will only need 1 wall outlet for both chargers. here's what you should get: two of these and one of these. you will only need one for both chargers. you will be able to charge both of your 2s or 3s packs at 10a each. |
There outa stock for the 40C or I woulda gotten them and I can't wait two weeks, I have no patience.

Safe gearing for 6S on Flux?
EDIT: New thread
|
I have no idea...I thought it looked interesting. Like the little guy knows too much and his head pops off? I get avatar envy when I'm on RCM
UPS is a couple of days from HK, if you don't mind the extra cost? FWIW, I generally favour 4S bashing/jumping & keep the 6S for speed runs or wide open spaces |
I think if you look back in your original thread about getting another Flux, linc gave you the suggestions to go 6s and a gearing choice...

Might have to watch the dimensions on the nanotech packs. They are typically longer packs.
then again I can't recall the dimensions of the Savage battery boxes. |
I would go with the Nanos.
If ordering from hobbyking look into there chargers. They have similar chargers to the Hobbypartz at a better price. Since the shipping is outrageous make it worth it. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...idproduct=6478 |
Why don't you try 5s? It''s right in the middle.
