First race with my new brushless truggy
I had a great first showing with my GS Racing XUT at my home track, Trax 70....The motor mount i made held together great! The truck itself held together great!
The first heat I ran 9 laps @ 6:42 Second heat i doofed and ran 7 laps at 6:02 Started first in the B Main...Won by a full lap running consistent 38 to 41 sec laps Started 9th in the A main...Broke a front drive shaft 13 mins into the 30 min race...Finished 6th and still dont know how I kept her goin! My center diff was 380 degrees at the end of the race but I finished broken driveshaft and all! I honestly did not at all expect to run that well in my first race! :surprised: |
:yipi:Sounds like you had a hellova good time.Thats what it's all about:yes:

Man I had a blast! Im kinda kickin myself for not gettin my Truggy going sooner! So much fun to be in a race and im not the only one passin people.
I used to run SC mod and there wasnt really any competition in that class but now I have that in the truggy class. |
Sounds like it's time for a center diff rebuild. That's hot!

Awesome job.
Sounds like you need thicker center diff oil to prevent from cooking it when the front unloads. Pics? Vids? |
Sorry no video....The track is in a area that has no service so my phone was searching it self dead.

I would def go through the front diff and replace o-rings, gasket, and bearings after getting that hot. The fact that you could still go that far with a broken shaft is awesome. I myself would have just pulled it off the track to avoid doing any further damage. I'm sure that with a driveshaft your diff temps would have been half that!
