Drag brakes in 1/8 Ep slower?

I am changing to a new racing style, with drag brakes. Prevously I race n brake but sometimes I brake too hard n the car spin out or overturn even with 20% brake setting.

I realize drag brakes I let go the throttle earlier n turn in tighter but I am slower in timing. If I throttle too hard after a stop I spin out too.

Nowadays my track is muddy n wet not good with traction.

Any advise?

no one knows?

get rid of drag brake and learn proper throttle control.

Really you think so? No one uses drag brakes in 1/8 Ep?

drag brake makes jumping very hard and sometimes you need just roll the car without any throttle

I jump better with drag brakes n during cornering it's tighter n ESP great when there's a turn after a slope I can turn out tight.

But I am not sure is it I am not aggressive enough or I let go the throttle too early for the drag brakes to kick in.

I drive my electric truggy like nitro car. Hit throttle hard and brake as late as possible.
So far worked great. Podium at every race and first place if I had enough time to setup car for the track :).

i used to drive this way but i brake too hard it flip often. now with drag brakes my timing is 2 sec faster.

i am always podium but i needed more consistent braking.

Works for some, I prefer no drag brake as well as drive like a nitro.

I don't use drag brakes. It tune my EPA of the brakes on my transmitter until I'm pleasured with the braking strength. It's usually not very hard since the car the would spin out then. It's all about throttle control mate. Like wallot says, sometimes you just need to roll through a corner and I don't know how you do that with drag brake.
If you want more steer tweak your setup and use your finger to brake.

Brake before the corner, enter the corner, hit the throttle in the corner/at exit.

I guess so, I am changing back to no drag brakes n throttle control better. Now I am testing 4s setup vs 6s

i found with drag brake when the my trug was in the air it wood dip down nose first like i had hit brakes while airborne. better to go without and get used to free rolling in and around corners then hittin the loud button out of the corners. Brake Late And Turn,B.L.A.T racing:yipi:

i run drag brakes on everything for racing, its a much better form of in air control, shifts in angle can be made much softer by useing it, if you are spinning out alot then you have to heavy of center diff and rear diff fluid, it can also come down to changeing tires and going to a softer tire foam.

other thing you can do is -
add more rear toe-in
brake alittle later so you dont power out of the corner so much

i stopped my drag brake now race without it. much faster
