cooling fan question

HI all, I got a fan for my esc and I am wondering how to wire it. Should it be wired to the batteries or on the out side of the UBEC??
Thanks

How many volts is it rated for?

If it is low voltage one you can plug into the thrid channel on receiver.

mmdooley 04.09.2006 06:06 PM

it is 9 volt or lower.

How many batteries are you running - you could run plugged into receiver - and try it - or "turbo charge" and plug into batt connections...

With my fan (12V fan) i used the red and black wire and put it in the aux. (3rd channel) and plugged it in and it worked.

That sound good Cool hand I will try it in the 3rd plug in. I am running 14 cells Hotncold. I hooked it to my batteries and it worked but I was afraid it might overload. Thanks for the help guys. Here's some bent parts from testing. This thing is a rocket I can't wait for LiPo's! What would be a good LiPo setup for a10lb. e-maxx with a 8XL and a 9920??
