Mamba Max Pro, bad sensor ports?

I saw a post by another person who owned two mamba max pros, here is an excerpt from it:

Quote:

MMPRO ESC number one - truck went dead second heat, noticed the sensor cable was loose. went to remove cable to make sure it was clean. cable and port fell out of ESC. That was the first two heats on that ESC. $124 for ESC and $50 for repair bill plus shipping. Two Heats!

MMPRO ESC number two - Installed in truck, went to install sensor wire into port. barely got sensor wire started and port broke out:mad:. Fell off the end of the wire when I pulled it back out of the ESC. Had not even solderd the battery connection plug on the ESC yet. Never even had power to it. once again $124 for ESC and $50 for repair plus shipping.

All that in one week!!!

Thier sensor wire ports are weak and of impropper design. They are not braced adequately and are only surface soldered. on a plug port like a sensor port that is going to see insertion and removal the pins for the port should be a through the board design, not set on top of screen printed solder and then fused. that can lead to cold and weak solder joints.
are others experiencing this? is there a trick to proper insertion of the wire? I know Novak had to put a message about there sensor wire removal for the motor, curious if for castle MMP it needs special attention there?

Just want to make sure I cover my bases with these new ESCs.

We did have an issue with early production units, but the issue has been fixed.

Any way for someone to tell if they have a problem before the warranty runs out? Is it so obvious they fall off the first time you install/remove the sensor cable?

Yeah, it's that obvious.

If it ever falls off, we'll cover it under warranty.
