Revo Bulkess

If and when flm makes bulkess for the revo, i was wondering, if you use lets say 6 or 8 spyder ue 1/8 diffs, wont you need some cvds? Would you use normal mip ones for the revo or ue ones? Or does it not matter, doesnt the revo have thicker driveshafts near the knuckle area? I cant wait to see and get the flm bulkess, and for all the revo people, we're waiting! :027:

You would need a cvd for sure.

Sylvester 04.09.2006 04:11 PM

I wonder if ue would take the time to make one? Or would the mip's work with ue cups?

coolhandcountry 04.09.2006 05:27 PM

The mip should work out. They would with the maxx.

i just hope its not the same problem as with the rdls....i have those on one of my revos...

Sylvester 04.09.2006 06:41 PM

What do you mean by problems? If you mean the shaft (CV) itself, than the mip are alot better, just so you know:)

squeeforever 04.09.2006 08:33 PM

yea, i know the mips are better, but its a nitro truck :p what i meant is the length issue. on the maxx, when you go to the 1/8th scale diffs, the rdls dont work.

Sylvester 04.10.2006 05:35 AM

Oh, lol, im really not sure if they will have the same problem, maybe mike and flm will make custom shafts? :p

am waiting on the bulkless too, g2r 10L smokes diffs so the g2r is put up

squeeforever 04.29.2006 09:21 PM

it shouldnt do that. aluminum cups and shims are your best friend. just shim em and it should be good for a while. i run a 10xl (10xl= ALOT of torque) and my evo has yet to strip a diff or slider.

Sylvester 04.29.2006 09:22 PM

Im running a 10l on 16 cells and my stockers are still PERFECT.

Yeah, Dafni uses stockers on his too, except for an aluminum cup, and they seem to be unbeatable.

yep, I agree. I run 100% stock revo diffs on the Big Maximum on 5s and they have lasted over an hour of brutal running so far.

Quite an old topic you found back bomb.. :p

coolhandcountry 02.16.2007 06:47 PM

For some newbies it is just another good feed on the strength of the revo though. :)
