wheel dye
i want to dye my wabash wheels. what dye and where do i purchase?
RIT - this dye works - you could try arts and craft stores...
My LHS has RIT dye, i havent used it but i've heard good things ! Try any hobby store or like hnc said, art and craft stores.
your local hobby shop should have it
Walmart carries it too
thanks. i'll try lhs. i want to dye them black, how dark will they end up or is there a way to make them darker or lighter?
if your dying your wheels black with rit die make shur you can get all of the wheels in the die at once cause the die has to be real hot for it to work (for black any way) and make shur ,if using black, that u let them soak along time cause if you dont your wheels will come out purple :mad:1 my wheels have a purple hue to them in the right light:035:
how long is long enough?
the second time i died mine i left them in the die till it was cold. the first time i died my wheels i was doing them 1 at a time and the first wheel i put in i took out to early and dident even notice it was dark purple buy the time i added the second wheel the die was cold and i left that wheel in over night and it never turned black lol. o and use alot of the die to be stingie with it its pretty cheap stuff my walmart had it for less that 3 bux, and i used the hole bottle of the black just on my 4 wheels :027:
