Need motor for my CRT .5 - suggestions?
 

If anyone wants a Novak 7.5r let me know. It's too much for my .5 :lol:

What should I be looking for? I'm running 2.2 badlands on 2s but I've been thinking of going to a 3s setup since I like speed and power and it's jut a fun basher and jumper. What does everyone recommend for a cheap reliable motor since Tekin dropped the ball with the SC4X motor?

Try a Novak HV motor, I ran a HV 4.5 on 2s in my old crt.5 and it was great. That motor is now rebadged as their SC motor

I'm running a Neu 1509 1.5D 4500kv on 2S (33k rpm) in my Mini STe. It stays very cool and provides more than enough power, on 3S it's insane (50k rpm). But it's not ''a cheap reliable motor'' (the cheap part).

Can you post a pic of your .5 with those BL's 2.2?

1509 3300kv on 3s is a sweet set up as well. Ran it on my crt.5 and I was very happy

NEU has 1509 2Y 1820kv Tekno Versions on sale for $109.00 ! (KV might be to low for your application ?)

I have 2, each powering SLash 4x4's on 3s, Lots of power and runs cool.

Are those the ballistic motors? Are they sensored?

Yeah Neu are always nice. Should I wait for the Tekin?

:surprised: I bought the Hyper Mini STe from linc. It's sitting in a box on my desk now. Sold the roller yesterday since I'm not using it at all.

ps. the 1509 3300kv on 3s that magman suggested would be awesome!

Still need to get a motor for this, I haven't run it or anything since I last posted. Anyone got a motor? I thought I sent a fellow member a PM but apparently it didn't shoot off. Running it on 2s and 3s...
