Strobe Slipper Spring

I installed my Strobe slipper on my e-revo and pretty much melted the pads. The nut was quite tight too. So now I tightened it almost so the spring is not functioning as a spring anymore - and it still slips somewhat (will sand the plates for better grip when new pads arrive). Is there a better replacement for the spring, or is it OK to leave it that tight?

The strobe sprong replaces the spring and puts more even pressure on the slipper pads. The trouble is finding one. Strobe has said he hasn't had the time to make any and probably won't for a little while.

Edit: You may also want to use the high temp pads for the slipper too

Yeah, the sprong is out of stock everywhere. So, basically, just keep the spring tight.

Check your plates to. I have sheared the peg off on them and that lets the plates slide together and generate the heat to melt the pads. You can use a mgt spring for more pressure.

Yerah, I think I remember you asying that before, but wasn't that with a "slightly" more powerful LMT? :)

BTW: Do you have a link or something for the stiffer spring you are talking about? I did a quick search at a few online shops and couldn't find anything...

Yes it was with a more powerful lmt. But if you didn't get it lined up it may have pushed the pin thru to. I would check it out to make sure. I think mike was supposed to get some of the springs in. It is for a monster gt by associated.
