The "WTF?" news article of the week.

Wow, i'm trembling in my boots Iran.

I"m absolutely dying from laughter on the story comments. No bars hold here

That picture alone should put USA at ease when worried about Iran. That nation is a joke and their military is pathetic. Whats next? A jetski with a torpedo tubes?

Awww. How adorable -Pats Iran on the Head-

Give me a worn out piper cub and a BB gun and I'll take the all out!

Let one of these hobby planes get within range of the U.S. Navy, the laughter aboard will take one out..

Holy Camel Crap Red 5, radio silence. I can't here you over these unholy props spinning behind my head anyway

I'm worried. An F/A-18F Super Hornet is going to roll in on a squadron of those and go nose first into the drink. When they recover the flight recorder the pilot's last words are going to be, "hahahahahahahahhahaha Whoops! hahahahahahah"

Pretty sure any idiot with a gun and a line of sight should be able to take one down in any real situation.

They are probably just using this to catch a glimpse of the media as to divert us from what is really going on. A little laughter is always good, helps us look away from the fact that that war will never be over, and it is most likely not regarding terror. Cough oil cough...

JERRY2KONE 09.29.2010 12:16 AM

kind of hard

Your being kind of hard on them don't you think? Maybe they plan on using them for delivering for Pizza Hut, which will surely put them ahead of us on delivery times. OR maybe this is their new service for making sure that their Gov exec's will get to work each day making sure that nothing like riots or terror attacks will keep the Gov from operating properly through such disasters. It will definitely make a great toy gift for their kids. I can see many uses for such a great invention. In fact hasn't the rest of the world already been using such toys for recreational vehicles? It has to be a joke, right?

I agree, it has to be a joke. NO country is THAT stupid! It has to be a deterent of some sort.

One must not forget Poland when making statements like that.

I realize we like to make fun of other nations' military toys.

Google 'Sunburn Missile' - one can cut a carrier in half.

Underestimating the enemy is never a good strategy.

Can't imagine those things are very good at flying or handling on the water. Typical situation where someone tries to combine 2 wildly different items into one, and winds up with something that is mediocre at both.

Finnster 09.29.2010 02:22 PM

I thought those things went obsolete in 1924?

suicideneil 09.29.2010 07:02 PM

I like the 'radar evading' part- damn thing has a massive cross section with those funny winglets and huge exposed engine/ prop. Looks like fun though...

I think they mean it can't get more than 40ft off the ground

JERRY2KONE 09.29.2010 07:12 PM

Yea that figures. Didn't the rest of the world figure this out back during World War 1 & 2? I guess this shows the level of genious providing inovative breakthroughs within the Iaranian culture. I believe that this shows that some people really don't have a clue how they look to the rest of the world, when they do something truly moronic. Gods little sense of humor.

Theres a BIG difference between a country thats capable of building strike missiles that can take out a large ship vs building a fleet of 1930's technology based air to ground flight effect "attack" planes/boats and stated to be capable of flying "under the radar"

My point exactly... I don't know what to think about the boats, but the "patriotic" media loves to focus on laughable stuff like this to downplay their real capabilities.

What's_nitro? 09.29.2010 09:21 PM

Funny thing is, they aren't capable of crap. They buy everything from other countries...

redshift 09.29.2010 09:27 PM

That's a fact.

You didn't build your car, but the ignition key still works.
