friend just picked it up rtr with spektrum dx2.0 rx / tx / 4s lipo / neu 1515 1y motor. mm w/ bec, 2 bodies, 2 wheels for $275 shipped

Should be good for the track!

Agreed! Pretty good deal tho!

I would definitely clean up that wiring and swap in some better servos and you should be good.
