Face Off: Flux vs Stampede *NSFW*

My good friend and I finally had a chance to get back together with our MT's and go have some fun at our local race area. Despite the unfair MT comparison, we were just screwing around and as always with us two, things got a little crazy and entertaining :mdr:

Haha you should put a cow catcher on your Flux next time....

Man, he was kinda kicking your ass. Looked like you had a hard time keeping the big truck on the track

Were you filming and driving at the same time? Kudo's if so!

That steering servo seems slow and weak tho, unless it was attributable to you filming and driving.

I was filming and driving at the same time. Not exactly easy to do on a small track, maintain control, land jumps AND get decent footage with TX in one hand and camera in the other

When you drive and film you get bad footage and even worse driving. Though kudos for doing both at the same time.

Options :
Tripod
Mount camera on a had and put in on your head

Tripod = boring, static footage and mounting a camera on my head is too far even for me.

You may be right, though when done well it doesnt look half bad...

I've tried strapping a camera to the back of my stick tx before, and even when its mounted well its hard to concentrate on driving + keeping the tx pointed at the truck, since your head follows the truck and not your hands; helmet or head mounted camera actually makes alot of sense for people with no camera man to get footage...

I tempting idea, but i'd rather get a GoPro camera. Actually what I REALLY want is a high speed camera for around $250 or so, i've been wanting one for years.

I''ve tried the same on my TX Neil .. no success. Making it on your head is pretty common, lots of flyers do that.

Static footage is boring, but if you would mix several positions you could make it nice to watch. Ofcrouse it would require (some) video editing.

p.s. Love that crosshair from the first picture.
