Broken component om my MMM

Hi Caslte,

I opened up my MMM today while cleaning my mbx6. I open it from time to time to check the fan and remove the dirt in it. When I was looking at the PCB I remarked something weird. A resistor (I guess it's a resistor) got damaged from hitting the bottom of the case. There's a print in the bottom from that component and the 2 components next to it. The sidewall broke off and bend over.

I was running my car sunday at the track and I didn't had a problem. I haven't ran the buggy since then so I guess it's still working right now, but the component seems very weak.

What should I do with it castle? Send it in for waranty? Put a small drop of solder on it so it fixated again? I live in Belgium so I guess it will take a while to send it in and get it back :(

I hope you guys can help me out.

Here are the pics I just made:

Unfortunately this is going to need a factory repair. The only option would be to get it sent in for repair. If it is less than a year old and you have a copy of the dated sales receipt, we'll get it replaced under warranty. If it's over a year old, it will be a $70.00 non-warranty replacement. Please visit www.castlecreations.com/support/repairs.html. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

I bought it this year in march so it's about a half year old at this moment. And I still should have the receipt. I'll check it when I'm back home tomorrow.
Thanks for your support! I'll send it in this week.

That controller has seen some use! I canīt believe the wear on some of the components and the board...

Never bashed it tho :-( I only have a buggy (mbx6) and I use it at the track only. You can on the bottom of the case that some components were hitting the "floor". I replaced the case a good month ago, but it's seems I didn't help.
Well I'm soldering up my spare MMM for the race this weekend and I'll send this one in.

I used a piece of high density foam about 4-5mm thick to cushion mine from impact and shoe goo'd it to my esc mount, then shoe goo'd a piece of lexan scrap on top of that. Something to consider.

Jup, I had a piece of foam between the controller and tray too. I guess it's just bad luck :(

Here's a pic of how I do it. Surprised that still happened with the foam.

My foam wasn't so thick as yours.
