Battery Tray for LST2

Does either the 45x168 or the 50x150 fit correctly on a stock LST2? Would like to do as little modifications as possible. Thanks.

What is the size of your lipos?

Where are you mounting it to the chassis?

I would suggest the doing the FOC, remove the 2 speed, and remove the mechanical brakes. You can also remove the servos in front of the tranny. This will allow you to mount the battery tray in front of the transmission for a better balance.

Both trays you listed will require you to drill holes in the chassis to fasten it down.

where are you mounting the batteries? i have mine currently in front pointing long ways front to back but they sit high to clear the gearbox and stuff.

Havn't bought the batteries yet. Would like to mount in the front for the balance. I've already done the FOC and ordered the single speed hub. Will remove the servos & mechanical brakes. Was hoping one of RCMonster's trays would fit the shorter LST2 chasis without mods. Thanks for the replies.

The 50 x 150 fits without any mods. There is a notch on the underside to clear the chassis brace in the front. Check this thread on another forum. Page 2 has some good pics of the mounted tray.
