No reverse?

Hi guys,I've finally got the MMM in my summit,It's great, except I can't get reverse:oh:.I don't want to fart around reprogramming the esc trying to get reverse,if it means I mess with the setup I've already got.The brakes aren't too good, but other than the reverse and brakes its good.Ooh,I popped the top off the esc by crashing, that pulled the on/off wires from the circuit board:slap: I thought as I'd payed so much,it'd handle a few crashes.Oh well ,what can ya do?

I run small zipties through the heatsink and around the bottom of the case to keep that from happening.

As far as your reverse problem goes, it most likely is in the settings and the easiest way to fix that is to hok it up to a computer or the field programming card. You would also be able to adjust the brake strength. As for the case coming apart....How are you securing it to the chassis? Since it's a Summit I see no excuse for not spending the $3 and ordering the Traxxas hold down that will bolt it right in place of the stock esc.

Hi guys, thanks for the info.I've got bthe hold down thing from traxxas now,I didn't realise that the esc case was so poorly made :( .I taped it to the chassis, crashed, tore the top off the esc, emailed castle,no more emails back ;). Think I've voided the warrenty;( . My 35A esc (been in various trucks) was taped in,it's been in so many wrecks, never a problem,It only cast £35 for the motor and esc ,and it's waterproof!

Its not poorly made at all, it just doesnt like being crashed or landed on without the shell on- I popped mine open several times without the shell on but it works fine still; optional hold-down should be compulsory really ( mounts the switch to the esc so that it wont get ripped away in the event of a crash ).

I cant believe you're still faffing about with the reverse issue though- its been months since you first had the issue, and each time you start a new thread about it you get given the same answers/ solutions ( you could just mail your whole setup to me & I'll fix it for you in 10 minutes or less, or your money back )
