Lipo help please

Thanks for any help on this matter,
about a year in a half ago i purchased 2 new Nue energy 5s4900 lipos for my brushless crt project ..they had been charged only once or twice then stored in an ammo box for about a year now as i moved and had been working out of state for a little over a year now ....now i want to resurrect my project and was wondering if there is any chance i can safely revive and charge the batterys or have i already ruined them ??(and not too mention wasted a couple hundred dollars) thank you so much for any help or advice

Discharge them and balance charge them. THen run them a few times. THey should be fine.

Thank you very much for the help...
one more question please ...I know theres a way to check each cell with an multimeter and the balance plug but can't seem to find the procedure of doing it? can anyone point me in the right direction ? ..lol...thanks again

Negative (black) probe onto the black wire and the red (positive) onto the one next to it. That will give you the reading for the first cell. For the next cells just move both probes over by one. Easy, just make sure that your probes don't make contact with each other while you are taking measurements as you will more than likely fry the balancing wires.
By the way let us know what state your lipos were in. I would be interested to hear how they held up during all that time.
