Lst diff case question

Ok, so we still do not have a lst section... So I guess I will post here casue it is for my project x lst based 6x6.

Wondering if anyone knows of an alternative to the stock losi made aluminum diff cases. They appear to be squeeze cast and I would like something machined so I can cut to of them in half and tig weld them back together. TI am referring to the part that holds the assembled diff and pinion, not the diff case that holds the spider gears.

So any input would be appreciated.:na:

Interesting, they would likely work. Wonder if I can still find them? I should hit up flm or Mike, see if they can just machine me what I want. Probably be cheaper and easier in the end...

+1

I've ben looking on/off for 5yrs for anything better than Losi's "questionable at best" cast cases. Never seen any after market ones, would like to tho ?

Very surprising that with all the aftermarket support for the LST no one makes CNC machined diff cases. I've definitely never been a fan of cast aluminum.
