what thickness would i need?

i found some cheap carbon fiber... and i want to make some parts for my emaxx and some other stuff... what would be the recomended thickness for stuff like shocktowers and maybe even chassis????

Imo

For shock towers, probably 4-5mm is good. For a chassis it depends if you want to do a single plate or a double-deck thing. For a plate chassis I'd use at least 4mm. If you went with the double-deck then 2.5-4mm would work depending on the design and your intended use.

Be cautious that some of the thicker CF around is actually a laminate with a foam center and a fiberglass backing.... Not all of it is, but just be aware.

I just made a 5b wing with some of that stuff. It's weird to work with.

I agree with What's Nitro?, 4-5mm would be good for both pieces.
