We have just added the Build-A-Ballistic™ 550 listing to our store:

Nice!

coolhandcountry 12.14.2010 09:29 PM

Is this the same size that was orginally made for the emaxx?

simplechamp 12.14.2010 11:47 PM

Yes, the Ballistic 550 line are the same size as the Novak HV line (HV-Maxx, HV7.5, etc.). All the Ballistic 550 have a 5mm shaft.

The Ballistic 550 (like the other Ballistic series motors) are completely rebuildable, including stator, rotor, sensor package, and more.

coolhandcountry 12.15.2010 07:25 PM

I see they changed the size of the rotor as well.
I could see where that 14mm rotor be much nicer in larger vehicle.

This is pointless because there is only two options and they are stator and harness length and to top it off $140 price. What about the rotor and bearing options and ring colour?

Wrong!

With the Build-A-Ballistic 550 you can get a motor assembled with a stator (number of turns) that is not sold through distribution.

NE32 06.05.2011 10:54 PM

yeah I see that now but look at the options available for the 540 motor

Earlier, we offered a choice of our 14mm tuning rotor; the price from our vendor quintupled, so we had to discontinue offering the rotor until (or if) neodymium prices settle down.
