Double SCT Emaxx
In my defense I never tried the double VXL's back when allot of guys were making those. I thought I would try it with some new technology. It took off 4oz by swapping out the stock brushed motors, esc and radio box. RTR now it's around 10.5lbs.

Looks clean :-) how's it run? Startup smooth?

lincpimp 12.15.2010 05:10 PM

Why do you have 2 receivers?

DrKnow65 12.15.2010 05:17 PM

Think those are dual steering servos Linc?

Never mind, I must be blind...

coolhandcountry 12.15.2010 07:15 PM

Are you planning to get a video of this in action?

bruce750i 12.15.2010 07:37 PM

Symmetry? More bec amps, less wires and anymore one of these rx are cheaper than buying two y cables.
It runs good, turns like crap. 18/62 on 3s.

Yeah, I can do some video.

Any update? How are the temps? I know the motors are incredible but the escs may get a bit warm in that setup. I love my sct combo in my SC10

bruce750i 12.20.2010 04:20 PM

Yes, I was waiting for the weekend to shoot some vids.
After 10+ minutes and 3s 6ah I got the motors up to 115-118*F, and the escs were 125-130*F ambient was 40*F. 21/63 on savage X stock tires, Decent speeds, and lots of drifting type wheel spin. Second trip I took the camera, ran it for awhile in the grass got some video, then I made the stupid decision to jump a stock EMAXX. Testing ended quickly after that.

In conclusion Don't jump a stock EMAXX.

E-Revonut 12.20.2010 05:42 PM

Could have told you that. You'll snap the rear tower everytime. RPM tower will take care of that, temps look good though.

bruce750i 12.20.2010 07:16 PM

LoL, Bent the little crappy rustler shock shafts on it also. It was collecting dust after the last tower repair like two years ago. I never considered rpm towers thanks! It was fun to drive a MT again.

E-Revonut 12.20.2010 08:41 PM

I've had three E-maxxs, two bought new. I got about three runs out of the stock tower, with the stock brushed motors before it snapped. I have put the RPM one on all of them and never had another problem. MTs are fun to drive, I just got a Savage Flux about a month ago and have been having a blast with it in the snow
